Sama exit causes 30% increase in pilgrim fares

Saudia Arabia's Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haj and Umrah Committee stated Sama's exit from the market on 24-Aug-2010 has led to a 30% increase in fares for returning Umrah pilgrims in the current season (Arab News, 14-Sep-2010). Sama had flown in thousands of pilgrims prior to its suspension, according to the committee.
