Salzburg Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Airport has pursued multiple sustainability initiatives, including signing a district heating contract with Salzburg AG to save approximately 510 tonnes of CO2 annually from 2026, and expanding its use of fully electric ground power units, now powering two thirds of its aircraft on the ground electrically, as part of its goal to reach carbon neutrality by 20401 2.
