SalamAir CEO: Covering increased costs has nothing to do with access to state funding

SalamAir CEO Adrian Hamilton-Manns, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit - Airlines in Transition, stated (23-Apr-2026) covering additional fuel costs is nothing to do with access to state funding. Mr Hamilton-Manns said: "The airline is expected to stand on its own. So we're funding this through increased pricing. We're applying a carrier surcharge for passengers to offset some of the fuel.
