Safran Electrical & Power’s ENGINeUS 100 electric motor received EASA certification after 1500 hours of tests and more than 100 flight hours, following four years of work with EASA on airworthiness rules for electric propulsion.1 Safran planned to mass-produce the ENGINeUS range from 2026 on four semi-automated lines, targeting output of more than 1000 motors p/a.1 H55 completed an EASA-supervised, authority-witnessed propulsion battery module certification test sequence on 19-Dec-2025 to demonstrate containment of worst-case failures, including fire propagation.2
