Background ✨

Ryanair previously projected "zero growth" at Rome in summer 2026, citing Ciampino's restrictive flight limit, airport fee rises at Ciampino and Fiumicino through 2028, and a higher municipal surcharge in Rome than elsewhere in Italy1. It also planned to remove one based aircraft from Rome for winter 2025/26, blaming Ciampino's cap, Aeroporti di Roma fee rises and a municipal tax increase from Apr-20252.
