RwandAir CEO: New Kigali airport to provide capacity for growth and position Rwanda as a hub

RwandAir CEO Yvonne Manzi Makolo, speaking at CAPA Live July 2021, stated (14-Jul-2021) Kigali Bugesera International Airport will have capacity for around seven million passengers p/a in the first phase of development, representing a "big jump" from the capacity of 1.5 million to two million p/a at Kigali International Airport. Ms Makolo said the additional capacity "allows the airline to really grow and also positions Rwanda very well as a regional hub which competes with other hubs in the area".
