Royal Schiphol Group notes changes in long haul traffic between Europe and North America
Royal Schiphol Group noted (08-Mar-2017) patterns on long haul traffic between Europe and North America are "changing". Schiphol stated the percentage of passengers (both economy and business/first class) between the regions taking a direct flight to their destination declined from 53% to 45% in the past decade. "More and more passengers are taking a connecting flight on an intercontinental journey", Schiphol said, adding: "This may be due to the air fare or flight times... The number of passengers transferring twice is also growing". [more - original PR]
