Royal Schiphol Group notes changes in long haul traffic between Europe and North America

Royal Schiphol Group noted (08-Mar-2017) patterns on long haul traffic between Europe and North America are "changing". Schiphol stated the percentage of passengers (both economy and business/€first class) between the regions taking a direct ‚flight to their destination declined from 53% to 45% in the past decade. "More and more passengers are taking a connecting ‚flight on an intercontinental journey", Schiphol said, adding: "This may be due to the air fare or flight times...
