Rolls-Royce launched the first of two durability enhancement packages for the Trent 1000 in Jan-2025, aiming to more than double time on wing, with retrofits for in-service engines and a second package expected to deliver a further 30% improvement from early 20261. The new high pressure turbine blade was introduced into production engines, with certification and rollout for the existing fleet targeted over the next two years2.
