RBS extends deadline for bids for RBS Aviation Capital

Royal Bank of Scotland Group reportedly extended the deadline for first-round bids for RBS Aviation Capital, the bank's aircraft-leasing unit, out to mid- Sep-2011, due to the high level of interest (Dow Jones, 18-Aug-2011). First rounds bids were initially due this week. RBS is looking to raise USD6 billion-8 billion from the sale, which is being run by Goldman Sachs Group. RBS Aviation Capital's fleet comprises 249 aircraft, as well as 11 in storage.
