Qatar Airways to launch 100% touch free IFE system on A350s

Qatar Airways announced (19-Feb-2021) plans to launch fully touchless technology for the Oryx One inflight entertainment system across its A350 fleet, in partnership with the Thales AVANT IFE system. The 'Zero-Touch' solution will allow passengers to pair the IFE system with their personal devices via WiFi and QR-code technology. Qatar Airways will be the first global airline to introduce a fully touchless IFE solution, as well as the first EMEA airline to offer business and economy passengers Bluetooth pairing capability for IFE on its Boeing 787-9 fleet.
