Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker, announced a meeting with Airbus to discuss A330-200 passenger aircraft conversion to freighters (Air Cargo News, 30-Mar-2010). The carrier operates 16 A330-200s and 13 A330-300s, while its freighter fleet comprises three A300-600Fs. Qatar Airways is also scheduled to take delivery of three B777 freighters, with two due in next three months and one in 2011.

Qatar Airways: "We are speaking to Airbus about a cargo conversion for the A330-200. We hope to have the conversion centre in Qatar, at the new Doha Airport.
