Qatar Airways expands network in East Africa

Qatar Airways has expanded its network in East Africa with 12 additional services to Dar es Salaam and Nairobi (allafrica, 31-Jan-2011). The airline, which has launched four more weekly services to Dar es Salaam since the beginning of this year, will add one more frequency in Feb-2011 to make a total of 12 weekly flights to Tanzania's commercial capital. The weekly Nairobi-Doha services have also increased to 12 times weekly. The African subcontinent is one of Qatar Airways' largest markets by the number of destinations served - and the region alone comprises over 10% of the airline's international network.
