The carrier has fitted Starlink onto more than 50% of its 777 fleet since Oct-2024 with no impact on operations or flight schedules. Qatar Airways has reported installation times of approximately 9.5 hours per aircraft, reducing the overall retrofit by almost three quarters of the initial timeline. Qatar Airways aimed to install Starlink inflight connectivity across its entire fleet by the end of 2025 or early 2026, with 14 aircraft equipped by the end of 2024 and up to 60 by May-20251. The airline initially implemented Starlink on three Boeing 777-300 aircraft by 4Q2024, becoming the first MENA carrier to offer this service2. Additionally, Qatar Airways executed the world's first Starlink-equipped Boeing 777 flight from Doha to London in late 20243.
