Product convergence between LCCs and FSCs in short-haul 'inevitable': Lufthansa VP

Lufthansa VP business development Daniel Roeska, speaking at the CAPA Airlines In Transition Summit, said (10-Mar-2016) product convergence between low cost and full service carriers in the short-haul market is "inevitable." Mr Roeska suggested FSCs should offer more choices to consumers in pricing structure and products. Mr Roeska said FSCs need to offer attractive prices without losing high-paying "legacy" customers and noted the profitability of the business class segment.
