Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport runway reopens

Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced (01-Jun-2016) the opening of the reconstructed runway at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport. The runway received an Aeroflot Boeing 777-300 aircraft during the opening ceremony. Rosaviatsiya Head Aleksandr Neradko said: "This runway will allow to receive practically any type of aircraft, without restrictions." As previously reported by CAPA, completion of runway reconstruction work will enable the airport to receive long-haul aircraft, including Antonov An-124, A330, A300B and Boeing 767-300 equipment.
