Peru recently signed an open skies agreement with Australia, eliminating restrictions on air services and authorising broad codeshare arrangements, following the inauguration of a new terminal at Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport with a capacity for up to 30 million passengers per annum, increasing to 40 million by 20301. Peru has also pursued similar MoUs to enhance connectivity with Argentina and Qatar2 3.
