Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) planned to resume its Islamabad-Manchester service from 28-Mar-2025, pending approval from the UK Department for Transport's Safety Review Board1. The EU lifted suspensions on PIA in mid Dec-2024, allowing the airline to expand its services into Europe, which could include the UK and US2. Additionally, PIA aimed to resume nonstop services to the UK and Europe, with ongoing discussions between the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and European authorities3.
