Oslo Airport reports 7% fall in 2009 pax numbers

Norway's Oslo Airport reports (08-Jan-2010) the following traffic highlights:

  • Dec-2009:
    • Passenger numbers: 1.3 million, +4.1% year-on-year;
      • International: 636,149, +2.4%;
      • Domestic: 627,680, +5.8%;
    • Cargo volume: 6,821 tonnes, +5.6%;
    • Aircraft movements: 15,343, -1.4%.
  • 12 months to 31-Dec-2009:
    • Passenger numbers: 18.1 million, -6.5%;
      • International: 9.5 million, -8.6%;
      • Domestic: 8.6 million, -4.0%;
    • Cargo volume: 70,942 tonnes, -15.0%;
    • Aircraft movements: 211,048, -8.4%.

Oslo Airport: "Both Nov-2009 and De-2009 saw an increase in traffic compared to the previous year and shows that the decline due to the financial crisis has stopped and that demand is on the rise," Source: Company statement, 08-Jan-2010.
