Kansai Airports completed phase three of the KIX T1 renovation in Mar-2025, which included opening 11 additional commercial outlets and a new lounge for international passengers, as well as expanding security and immigration facilities. Phase four, to be completed by spring 2026, focused on expanding the international departures commercial area, following earlier phases that added significant retail and F&B capacity to the terminal1 2.
