Orlando International Airport developing an app that integrates maps and directions

Orlando International Airport senior director of marketing & air service development Vicki Jaramillo, speaking at CAPA Americas Aviation Summit 2016, stated (11-Apr-2016) the airport is developing an app that integrates maps and directions. She said the airport is not yet at the point of introducing push notifications for passengers passing shops, although it aims to run a trial for duty-free shops. If it works, the airport will consider extending the technology to other concessionaires. She stressed, "We want to maintain a balance, finding the balance of what's too much in regards to personalisation."
