Oman Air and SalamAir previously moved towards closer cooperation, signing an MoU to develop a joint commercial strategy and collaborate on network planning, schedules, inventory, fleet management and revenue and sales management.1 The carriers later expanded their codeshare, initially enabling bookings on selected SalamAir routes connecting into Oman Air’s network from 04-Jul-2024, with further destinations planned.2 Oman Air’s chairman Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali said it targeted profitability by 2026 after an OMR185.6 million loss in 2023.3
