Oman Air considers converting B737s to all-economy

Oman Air CEO Peter Hill announced the carrier is considering offering an all-economy service with B737 equipment on routes that exhibit low demand for premium travel, particularly those in the Indian subcontinent (Arabian Supply Chain, 07-Aug-2011). Oman Air has been building its brand image around premium services. The carrier expects it could convert four to five aircraft to all-economy configuration. In 2010, Etihad Airways announced it would convert some of its A320s into single class configuration, with 162 economy class seats.
