Olympic Air launches operations; to launch 'Macedonian Airlines' subsidiary within a few months

Olympic Air was formally launched on 01-Oct-2009. The restructured former national carrier, which was acquired by Marfin Investment Group, also announced plans to create an Olympic Air subsidiary, named Macedonian Airlines, to be headquartered in Thessaloniki and to be operational in a few months. The carrier has already acquired an internationally registered trademark for the start-up carrier.
