Norwegian Air Shuttle signs lease agreement for two additional 787-8s

Norwegian Air Shuttle announced (24-May-2012) it signed a 12-year lease agreement with International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) to lease two additional Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The LCC already signed agreements to acquire three and lease three of the aircraft type and now has eight 787-8s to be delivered. Norwegian expects to take delivery of three 787-8s in 2013, four in 2014 and one in early 2015. Norwegian CEO Bjørn Kjos said, "Norwegian will have a fleet of the most efficient and modern long-haul aircraft in the market, a strong competitive advantage when fuel prices are high."
