Nigerian carriers face action over debts

Nigerian carriers who have not settled debts with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) face sanction in Jan-2011 (All Africa, 30-Dec-2010). Approximately six months after the agreement with all carriers for the spread of payment of their debts, none of them has met with the agency to negotiate their schedule of payment. As at Aug-2010, stood at USD26 million is owed to NAMA alone on En-route and Terminal Navigational Charge (TNC) and USD3.8 million on international operations.
