During President Bola Tinubu's state visit to Brazil on 24/25-Aug-2025, officials stated that the new bilateral air services agreement would unlock direct flights between Nigeria and Brazil, with the aim of attracting foreign investment, supporting employment, boosting tourism, and strengthening cultural and economic ties1. Air Peace received approval to begin direct flights to Brazil, and LATAM Cargo also planned to operate on this route2.
