New airports to be built across Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced it has completed preliminary designs of the first phase of airports across aimed at serving smaller populations across the country (Saudi Gazette, 06-Mar-2011). GACA President Abdullah Rahaimy said the funds for the projects were included in the 2012 budget. Mr Rahaimy said GACA is working on a master plan for the development of Riyadh King Khaled International Airport.
