Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport to serve 12 million pax p/a

Kenya's Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport stated it will have capacity to handle 12 million passengers following the completion of the airport's expansion programme, an increase from the current 5 million (AllAfrica, 01-Jul-2010). The new terminal is expected to be completed in 2011, with expansion now entering phase two, which involves the completion of Terminal 4, the addition of parking bays (44 parking bays for passenger and nine for cargo aircraft) and a new three-storey carpark.
