Myanmar previously extended visa free entry for Russian citizens from 01-Jul-2025 to 30-Jun-2026, allowing stays of up to 30 days without a visa1. The carrier has also strengthened ties with Malaysia through increased Yangon-Kuala Lumpur frequencies and codeshare arrangements with Malaysia Airlines2 3. Additionally, Myanmar Airways International launched a Yangon-Penang service and formed partnerships to promote medical tourism with Malaysian organisations4 5.
