The new Terminal 1 pier project at Munich Airport covered 95,000sqm, required an investment of EUR665 million, and was expected to provide capacity for up to six million passengers annually, with operational launch targeted for 1H2026. The pier’s construction was nearing completion as of recently and included a six-storey terminal building, a new 5200sqm commercial area, and energy-efficient systems as part of the broader Terminal 1 expansion1 2.
