Lufthansa Group planned to extend its partnership with Munich Airport to 2056 and envisaged further long haul fleet growth at the hub, alongside a Terminal two satellite expansion via a T‑shaped pier due to open in 2035 and add 10 million passengers p/a.1 Munich Airport also scheduled non‑Schengen airlines to route passengers via the new Terminal one pier from 21-Apr-2026.2
