Mubadala Aerospace to manufacture Airbus parts from 4Q2010

Mubadala Aerospace confirmed plans it will commence manufacturing flap-track fairings for A330/A340 aircraft from 4Q23010 (Reuters, 12-Jul-2010). The manufacturing business will receive handover of phase one of Strata, a composite aerostructures manufacturing facility, in mid-Aug-2010. Mubadala has USD500 million earmarked for the three phases of Strata, which will eventually develop primary aircraft structures for major manufacturers. Strata's first phase covers contracts with Airbus, Alenia Aeronautica and FACC.
