More signs of a new aircraft to replace B737

Boeing Chairman and CEO, James McNerney, stated the company's current "bias" is to develop an all-new replacement for the B737NG family "at the end of the decade, beginning of the next decade" (AP, 10-Feb-2011). The manufacturer believes "our customers will wait for us". It expects to have a more firm idea of its plans for the B737 by the middle of 2011.
