Mobile to become primary selling channel at Spring Airlines

Spring Airlines deputy GM strategy/international brand manager Jonathan Hutt, speaking at CAPA's World Aviation Summit in Amsterdam, stated (26/27-Nov-2013) that Spring Airlines wants to make the mobile platform its primary selling channel and to achieve this goal before competitors. He added that the carrier is "now an IT company", reflecting the carrier's strong focus in IT and creating its own solutions. This is similar to statements from the Jetstar Group about its focus on IT. Mr Hutt also said Spring is trying to limit headcount growth except at operational roles and its large IT department.
