MLIT to expand Haneda international terminal

Japan's MLIT reportedly plans to expand the new international terminal of Tokyo Haneda International Airport at a cost of JPY100 billion (USD1.3 billion) (Asahi Shimbun, 20-Jun-2011). Construction will commence in the current fiscal year at the earliest in the form of a Private Finance Initiative to prepare for the international slot increase to 90,000 annually in FY2013. The new wing will be constructed in the north of the current international terminal. Boarding gates will be doubled to 20.
