Mexico pays out USD746m to scrap NMCIA terminal construction contract

Mexico Communications and Transports Secretariat (Mexico SCT) terminated (26-Jul-2019) the contract for the construction of New Mexico City International Airport's (NMCIA) passenger terminal. The contract was valued at MXN84.8 billion (USD4.5 billion) and represented 45% of the total value of NMCIA's cost. The termination agreement will see Mexico pay MXN14.2 billion (USD746.4 million) to scrap the contract. [more - original PR - Spanish]
