Mexicana employees stage demonstration

Mexicana ground employees staged a demonstration at Terminal 2 of the Mexico City International Airport to ask the Mexican government to save the bankrupt carrier (lath.com, 31-May-2011). Members of the SNTTASS union is urging the government to apply a requisition, which allows authorities to take control of strategic firms that are at risk of experiencing a strike and guarantee service and continuity to their operations. Mexicana suspended its operations in Aug-2010 amid a severe financial crisis.
