Merlin progressed its New Zealand pathway for its autonomy platform, receiving an experimental certificate of airworthiness from the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand to conduct certification flight testing, supporting its supplemental type certificate programme.1 It also received Part 145 maintenance certification in New Zealand and previously secured a Part 135 air operator’s certificate, following Part 135 organisational certification in Feb-2024.2 3
