Merger between AeroMexico and Mexicana possible without hurting competition

Mexico's Federal Competition Commission Chairman, Eduardo Perez Motta, claimed a merger between AeroMexico and Mexicana would be possible for the carrier's to compete without hurting competition in Mexico (Reuters, 03-May-2010). Mr Perez Motta dismissed reports a merger is in the works though.

Mexican Federal Competition Commission: "What is important is to see route by route whether there is concentration. There always was (the possibility of a deal).
