Melbourne Airport reports 3% rise in pax numbers for 3 months ended Sep-2009

Australia's Melbourne Airport reports (20-Oct-09) the following traffic highlights for the 3 months ended Sep-2009:

  • Passenger numbers: 6.4 million, +3.0% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 5.0 million, +1.0%;
  • International: 1.3 million, +10.0%. [more]

Melbourne Airport: "Melbourne Airport has achieved overall passenger growth of 3%, a strong result in a difficult operating environment for the aviation industry. The international market has performed particularly strongly, increasing by 10% for the quarter, and up by 14% in the month of September alone.
