Melbourne Airport CEO: Melbourne will overtake Sydney in terms of growth

Melbourne Airport CEO Lyell Strambi, speaking at the CAPA Melbourne Aviation Summit, stated (24-May-2019) "We have seen a really steady growth in Melbourne and this has been a trend for the last 10 to 15 years", adding "Melbourne has been lucky to lead international activity growth". Mr Strambi said: 'Melbourne is the fastest growing city in Australia, it will overtake Sydney and is a very attractive source destination for airlines, this is part of the reason why we have to really strike".
