Malindo Air to be first commercial operator of 737 MAX

Malindo Air announced (21-Mar-2017) it will be the first commercial operator of the Boeing 737 MAX. The carrier will receive up to four 737 MAXs in 2017. The airline currently operates a fleet of 737NG aircraft. Malindo Air CEO Chandran Rama Muthy said: "This new aircraft, which allows us to go to further destinations at a distance of 7 hours 30 mins, will certainly help attract tourists to our country. As tourism is a key revenue generator for the country, this new aircraft will play a key role in providing lower fares on air travel". [more - original PR]
