Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) previously procured an air traffic control tower simulator from Micro Nav to support training for ATC personnel at Malé Velana International Airport.1 Maldivian Aviation Academy, operated by Island Aviation Services Limited and Maldives National University, commenced operations on 10-Jan-2022 to train non-pilot aviation personnel, after receiving an operational licence from the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority.2 3 Maldivian also opened a new Engineering Service Building at Malé Velana International Airport on 06-Jul-2025, citing strengthened technical training.4
