Mackay Airport also announced a broader AUD60 million infrastructure programme, which included ongoing commercial development at the Milton Precinct alongside a terminal transformation and runway overlay. The terminal upgrade was scheduled to begin in Jan-2026, with CEO Richard Barker confirming that the first stage of Milton Precinct had been completed and further announcements were expected as new tenants and services are welcomed1.
