Lufthansa reportedly expects to close its acquisition of Austrian Airlines on or around 03-Sep-2009, with the takeover having reportedly reached the final EU approval stages (Reuters/abtn, 25-Aug-09). The carrier reportedly expects the merger to be signed within ten days of gaining EU approval.
