Lufthansa will offer premium economy in 2014

Lufthansa CEO Christoph Franz, in an interview with Sueddeutsche Zeitung, confirmed the carrier will launch a premium economy cabin in 2014, inline with customer demands. Mr Franz confirmed the new cabin "will be introduced in the spring of 2014 when we [Lufthansa] will begin upgrading our fleet". 10% of capacity could be deployed in this new class, with prices to reportedly be closer to economy rather than business class.
