Lufthansa Technik Philippines broke ground in early Aug-2026 on a new widebody base maintenance facility at Clark International Airport, planned to open in 2028 on a 157,000sqm site and create around 1200 jobs, including a paint shop and non destructive testing workshops1 2. It later signed a partnership agreement with First Orient Development and Construction Corp to develop the Clark facility3. Lufthansa Technik Philippines also confirmed it would discontinue line maintenance from 01-Aug-2026 to focus on base maintenance and overhaul in Manila4.
