Lufthansa and pilots union agree on mediation

Lufthansa's Vereinigung Cockpit pilots union cancelled a four-day strike planned for 13-Apr-2010, following an agreement with Lufthansa over entering mediated talks (Bloomberg, 07-Apr-2010). Both sides will agree on a mediator in the coming days. Lufthansa stated the threat of the strike threat has already cost it several million euros in lost revenue. The pilots disagreeing with Lufthansa over the terms of a proposed pay freeze.
