London Gatwick Airport appointed Pierre-Hugues Schmit as CEO from 01-Sep-2025, replacing Stewart Wingate after he moved into the newly created VINCI Airports/Global Infrastructure Partners role of MD UK airports, overseeing Gatwick, Edinburgh and Belfast International1. Gatwick later reiterated Mr Schmit's appointment and noted his prior roles as VINCI Airports CCO and COO2. Baroness Margaret Ford of Cunningham joined as Gatwick chair in Nov-2023, succeeding Sir David Higgins3.
