Loganair to operate services in its own right from Sep-2017
Loganair stated (21-Nov-2016) it will operate services in its right as a result of the termination of 24 years of operating under franchise agreements with other carriers, effective 01-Sep-2017. The move will create a national airline for Scotland. Loganair will provide over 1000 weekly services to 46 destinations after the agreement termination with Flybe. Loganair operated services under franchise agreements with British Airways from 1993-2007, and Flybe from 2007 to present. Loganair stated it will continue discussing opportunities to work with Flybe in the future, while its codeshare agreement with British Airways will continue. Loganair will establish its own reservations system by Mar-2017 for services on and after that date on its website. [more - original PR]
